How Kim's Jewelry is made ?
First each piece has to be drawn, and then traced onto brass, silver or gold. The shape then gets cut out and smoothed with a fine file. The rough sketch is then heated to make it soft. At this stage, it can be bent or hammered to whatever design it might be. If it cools down and hardens during the process, the rough work has to be heated again and again until satisfactory conditions have been met.
Next is the soldering process. It is one of the most difficult tasks in the process. A single mistake can result in re-starting the whole process. Why is this? You see, wire sizes and the thickness of brass, silver, and gold are all different. Each of them melt at different temperatures. Overheating will result in melting the piece. 100% of concentration must be used in order to ensure success.
After all the difficult tasks are done, each piece must go through three different steps of polishing in order for the jewelry to shine like a mirror.
You can see how difficult is must be to make each piece of handmade jewelry. Even though two pieces might be similar, they are not exact. Kim's jewelry differs from others not only for all the hard work put behind each piece, but because they still maintain themselves throughout the years and continue to look and feel classy and unique.
